The Rhode Island-based casino giant plans to construct a vast 26-acre entertainment district that will include:

  • A stunning 56,000 square-foot casino floor equipped with 1,500 slot machines and 75 table games, along with a state-of-the-art 16,500 square-foot sportsbook.
  • Two luxurious hotel towers, one featuring 1,800 rooms and the other comprising 1,200.
  • A magnificent theatre spanning three levels, offering 2,500 seats for various performances and events.
  • A plethora of retail and dining options totalling 500,000 square feet, ensuring ample entertainment for visitors.
  • An eight-story parking garage with space for 2,500 vehicles, making it highly accessible for guests arriving by car, with additional parking options available on-site.

Bally’s has earmarked an investment of $2 billion for the entire project, which is set to begin construction in 2026, aiming to welcome guests by the start of the 2028 MLB season. This ambitious timeline aligns with the A’s commitment to occupy their new stadium by the same year.

Innovative Features and Amenities

According to Bally’s Chair, Soo Kim, the development is seen as a groundbreaking opportunity to reinvent the core of the Las Vegas Strip. The plans include:

  • A multi-level sports bar that will boast a rooftop pool, offering breathtaking views of the new A’s ballpark and Las Vegas Boulevard.
  • A 9-acre plaza designed as the entry point to the stadium, enhancing the connection between the casino and the sports venue.
  • Integration of pedestrian walkways from prominent adjacent properties including the Excalibur and MGM Grand, improving access for guests.

With their plans in place, Bally’s is collaborating with renowned partners like Marnell Architecture, famed for its designs of iconic venues such as the Bellagio and the Wynn.

What’s Next for Casino Development

The completion of this project will not only bolster Las Vegas’ reputation as a premier entertainment destination but also create thousands of job opportunities in the region.

Furthermore, the land on which this major development will take place is owned by Gaming and Leisure Properties (GLP), who have leased it to Bally’s for an annual fee of $10.5 million. Interestingly, GLP has also gifted the A’s 9 acres of land to realise their stadium plans.

As plans continue to move forward, local stakeholders and authorities will discuss and vote on the stadium development agreement shortly, paving the way for this exciting chapter in Las Vegas’ evolution.
